Ms. Bhagyashri Mhatre, Librarian at PIMSR conducted a Session on “Information Literacy: Uses of Library & Online Resources” on 5th September, 2023 for the management students who have recently joined PiMSR. Ms. Bhagyashri Mhatre holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (M.L.I.Sc.) from SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai, as well as Master of Business Administration (MBA-HR). She also holds Bachelor’s Degree in Library & Information Science and B.Sc. (Chemistry) from University of Mumbai. She has also qualified the State Eligibility Test (UGC-SET) by Government of Maharashtra. A professional with over 15 years of academic librarian experience in various educational institute of Pillai group of institution.

Ms. Mhatre started the session by saying that even though there are other forms of gaining information, books are still by far the most used and most sought out method, and rightfully so. Students require a vast amount of ready information that they can use for research purposes, either as part of academic research or for doing projects. Students who want to learn something outside of their syllabus can use the library for doing so. She then gave a brief description about the library of our college including the books, publications and online resources available and other instructions and many informative things related to the library. The session ended with a vote of thanks.
