IIC of Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research in collaboration with IWFCI India National Chapter and IWFCI South Africa and the launched the Certificate Course titled “Global Trade Nexus: Insights into Trade Practices Across Nations” on March 16,2024. The course is designed for high-level business delegates in South Africa who are aiming to expand their business opportunities with a special focus on Singapore and Australia and going for a trade mission at the end April 2024. The program will be conducted for six hours over 5 Saturdays beginning 16th March, 2023. Participants will gain insights into the business landscapes of these two countries and create effective plans for successful international business ventures. Speaking at the launch of the program, Dr. Daphne Pillai, Founder President of IWFCI India said that “This course is to equip delegates from South Africa to Singapore and Australia with all aspects of trade. We have all realised in the past couple of years that the world has changed in all respects. We have to adapt to this new changing scenario to build up businesses as trade and commerce had taken a beating during the pandemic and is still to pick up speed. South Africa has great export import potential. This course will provide valuable information on export import procedures, legal compliances, raw materials, logistics, the insurance requirements, the business culture of the countries doing trade amongst others. I wish the program all the best.” Dr. R. Chandran, Director of Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research who has designed the curriculum for this course said that this course will help stimulate domestic economic activity in participants which in turn will help facilitate international trade. The programme is being coordinated by Dr. Celina Joy, Director Administration of IWFCI India and Professor at PiMSR. She spoke about the limitless opportunities that courses such as these provide to entrepreneurs who are looking to cross borders with their products and services. Twenty small scale entrepreneurs have registered for the course which is being facilitated by Ms. Vino Pillay, Founder President- IWFCI South Africa.
