As a part of the ongoing Project – ‘PANKH’, the Social Service Committee volunteers’ team conducted a session on 7th December, 2023, focusing on improving the Reading and Vocabulary Skills of students at the Zilla Parishad Gyan Jyoti Savitribai Phule School in Podi. The aim of these sessions is to improve the basic elementary English Language among the elementary Grade students (5th to 7th grade students).

The session covered the basics of reading lessons from the student’s curriculum, empowering them to know the spellings, word pronunciations, recognition of form of words, punctuation, spacing between words and more. Knowledge games were played such as knowing the names of the things in the surrounding.

Activity like Dictation test was carried out at the end of the session to test out the listening and spelling skills of the students. It was a pleasant session with the students of 5th grade, where the students were enthusiastic to learn, grow and be empowered!

The session was conducted by MMS first year students – Ms. Somali Pradhan, Ms. Amrutha Nair, Mr. Prajwal Sune and Mr. Prathmesh Patil.
