On 24th October, 2024, the Social Service Committee Team of PiMSR hosted an engaging educational session at Zilla Parishad Gyan Jyoti Savitribai Phule School, aimed at enhancing students’ reading skills and vocabulary. This initiative is part of the broader Project ‘PANKH’, which seeks to empower students through strong language abilities.

The session began with a lively icebreaker, leading into an interactive discussion on homophones. Students participated in fun activities to identify and use pairs of words like “root” and “route.” Next, the student volunteers introduced word registers, exploring how language is utilized across various technological contexts. The lesson culminated in a hands-on exploration of articles (“a,” “an,” “the”), with practical exercises designed to reinforce understanding.

Engaging activities, including the “Homophone Challenge” and a quiz on article usage, kept students motivated and actively involved. Overall, the session was a resounding success, with students demonstrating improved comprehension and increased confidence in their language skills. Feedback indicated that participants valued the interactive format, which significantly enhanced their engagement.

Through Project ‘PANKH’, this session not only improved students’ language proficiency but also made learning enjoyable and effective. The interactive approach fostered enthusiasm and confidence, laying a strong foundation for their future academic pursuits.

This session was led by MMS students: Ms. Sampada Pakhide, Ms. Tejaswini Ravindra Khadseb, Mr. Ahmad Khan, Mr. Abhilash Nair, Mr. Akash Issac, and Mr. Joemen Chandrahasan.
