The faculty and student members of PiMSR’s IIC attended the Orientation Session on IIC 4.0 organized by Innovation Cell of Ministry of Education (MoE) Government of India on 24th January, 2022 in an online mode. Mr. Dipan Kumar Sahu, Assistant Innovation Director, MoE Innovation Cell addressed the participants. The objective of the session was to explain the National Innovation and Startup policy’s Policy Formulation, Policy Implementation and Policy Impact creation.
Mr. Sahu highlighted the IIC institution’s annual performance for the year 2020-21. He also demonstrated the new IIC 4.0 portal which had new schemes like the Mentor-Mentee Program, ATL School Linkages, e-learning resources, integration of Innovation Ambassador’s Portal with the IIC Institute Portal and the scheme to refer institutes for IIC registration. Zone wise separate Q&A sessions were also planned after this session.
Mr. Sahu clarified a number of frequently asked questions about IIC and the registration formalities of IIC. He spoke about encouraging startups and innovation in colleges and shared the funding support extended for the incubation linkages. He also explained the various categories of activities like IIC Calendar driven activities, self-driven activities, MIC driven activities and the celebration activities with the scores for each category. The session was extremely beneficial to all the participants.
