On 5th December, 2024, the Social Service Committee team of PiMSR hosted a vibrant and creative Fabric Painting session at Zilla Parishad Gyan Jyoti Savitribai Phule School, as part of the ongoing Project ‘PANKH’. This initiative aims to empower students by nurturing their artistic skills and creativity alongside their academic growth.

The session began with an introduction to the art of fabric painting, where student volunteers explained the basics of design, colour selection, and brush techniques. Participants were provided with images to trace, sparking their creativity and guiding them as they started creating their own unique designs on fabric. The session emphasized simple yet impactful fabric painting techniques, giving students the freedom to explore their artistic potential.

All necessary materials, including fabric, paints, and brushes, were provided to ensure a hands-on learning experience. The theme for the session was cartoons and nature, encouraging students to draw characters, flowers, animals, and various patterns.

The session included a “Design Challenge,” an interactive activity that prompted students to brainstorm ideas and think creatively. Volunteers guided students through each step, offering tips on colour mixing and adding fine details to their designs. The students showed remarkable enthusiasm, focus, and innovation throughout the process, making the session both enjoyable and educational.

The session concluded with an exhibition of the completed artworks, where each student proudly displayed their fabric paintings. The smiles and pride on their faces highlighted the success of the session in boosting their confidence and providing a sense of accomplishment.

This session was led by MMS students: Ms. Kanchan Ganesh Patil, Ms. Haritha Menon, Mr. Ahmad Khan Deshmukh, and Mr. Prathamesh Prakash Patil. Their dedication and support were key to the success of this initiative.
