IIC of PiMSR organized a Workshop on Webinar on “Design Thinking, Critical Thinking and Innovation Design” on 12th February in an online mode. The session was conducted by Prof. Ajit Vora who has 15 years of invaluable experience in operations floor experience with another 30 years of experience in the International Trade mainly in the areas of procurement and export management. He has developed an expertise in “Value Engineering and Analysis” which has helped many companies achieve better cost and inventory control.
Design thinking is a recently emerging powerful process of problem solving that begins with understanding the requirements of the customer which have largely gone unaddressed by the existing companies. This process has lead to opening new doors which has given an impetus to drive innovation that encompasses concept development, applied creativity, prototyping, and experimentation. When design thinking techniques are applied to business, the success rate for innovation improves in leaps and bounds. Prof Vora with his immense knowledge gave his guidance to a few students who required inputs into the conduct of their own businesses.
