Prof. Subramanian Iyer delivered a session on the topic ‘Why are Empolyability Skills Important’ to management students of the 2023-25 batch on 6th September, 2023 at the Auditorium of the Panvel Campus. Prof. Iyer is a highly qualified professional with an extensive education background and holds an MBA degree along with a PGDM (Training and development) in HRM, Labour law, Industrial relations and Personnel Management. He has an industry experience of three decades and an academic tenure of 18 years, Prof. Iyer specialization lies in teaching subjects such as HR (Human Resources) and General Management, where his profound understanding and practical insights make him an invaluable asset in the field.
He began the session by explaining to the students how the industry revolves around the recruitment and training of employees. He then elaborated on the concept of Employability tests that was developed at PiMSR to meet the demands of the industry and prepare students for placement. Furthermore he spoke about three Principles that everyone should focus on (Pomodoro, Five second Rule and Mirror Technique). This Interactive session covered all the students’ doubts and helped them get an insight into the workings of the corporate sector. The event concluded with a highly energetic and positive response amongst the students.
