As part of the Summer Internship Project (SIP) Workshop Series, the first session titled “Introduction and Literature Review” was successfully conducted on 10th May 2025 in online mode at 7:30 PM for MMS students.124 MMS Students attended the workshop. The session was designed to guide students in the initial stages of their summer internship research work.
The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Shikha Singh, who delivered an insightful session. She meticulously explained how students should approach the selection of a suitable title for their summer internship research project. Following this, she elaborated on how to frame research objectives and clearly distinguished between an aim and objectives.
A significant part of the session focused on the literature review process. Dr. Singh not only discussed its importance but also gave a practical demonstration on how to conduct a thorough and relevant review of literature, helping students understand both the conceptual and technical aspects.
In addition, Dr. Celina Joy and Dr. Betty Sibil addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the SIP timeline and taking the process seriously. Dr. Betty Sibil particularly urged students to maintain consistent communication with their mentors and not remain unresponsive.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where students’ queries were addressed, ensuring clarity and direction as they begin their research journey. This workshop laid a strong foundation for the upcoming sessions in the SIP Workshop Series.
