As part of Project PANKH, the Social Service Committee of PIMSR conducted an engaging and educational session on English reading and vocabulary on 9th December 2025 for the students of Zilla Parishad Gyan Jyoti Savitribai Phule School, Podi. Understanding the crucial role of reading proficiency in academic growth, the session aimed to motivate students to practice English in a supportive and interactive learning environment.

The primary objectives of the session were to strengthen students’ reading abilities, build foundational vocabulary, and enhance their confidence in understanding English lessons. To achieve this, students began by introducing themselves, followed by guided reading from their English textbook. Key vocabulary and meanings were discussed to improve comprehension. An interactive activity—where students searched for specific words in their books and completed spellings—was included to reinforce vocabulary and promote alertness and observation skills.

Students actively participated throughout the session and demonstrated improved engagement with their reading materials. They expressed that the vocabulary explanations helped them understand the text more clearly. The word-search activity was particularly appreciated, as it made learning enjoyable while simultaneously strengthening their spelling and vocabulary recall. Overall, the session contributed to a noticeable boost in students’ confidence and interest in English reading.

The session was effectively conducted by MBA students Ms. Vrushika Shelar, Ms. Charmi Chandra, Ms. Shruti Andale, and Mr. Soham Patil, whose efforts ensured meaningful learning for the young participants.
