Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai Group of Institutions in Collaboration with Gurudwara Panvel organized a fundraiser in May and June 2021 to help people who are in need of Oxygen Cylinders during the second wave of the pandemic.
The second wave saw the pandemic at its peak in India and due to the high demand and shortage of oxygen cylinders in the country, the fund raiser helped people in need by providing them with free oxygen cylinders. With more than 3 lakh cases and 3000 deaths daily in India, Pillai Group of Institutions initiated this fund-raiser to make a small difference by helping people in need. Funds amounting to Rs. 2,50,000 collected by the faculty and students of the Pillai Group of Institutions went towards this noble cause. These funds were used to provide free oxygen cylinders to the people in need
