Introduction
An engaging and insightful session was organized by the faculty members of the MMS program to prepare students for their second semester. The session aimed to familiarize students with the curriculum electives of Business Experiential project and Start-up Experiential project, and the employability test, an essential step toward enhancing their professional readiness.

Event Highlights
Prof. Iyer delivered a brief talk on employability skill sets that are essential for management students. The session primarily focused on introducing students to the employability test and its importance in improving skills crucial for excelling in interviews and securing better job opportunities.

Following the opening remarks, Prof. Iyer provided an in-depth walkthrough of the employability test. He elaborated on:

  • The distinction between employability and business skills.
  • The significance of balancing technical and soft skills to meet employer expectations.
  • Practical insights into enhancing employability skills.

This segment equipped students with a clear understanding of how to align their skills with the demands of the professional world.

Ms. Vrushali Nilakhe led an informative session on resume drafting. Through a detailed PowerPoint presentation, she covered:

  • The differences between a Resume, Curriculum Vitae (CV), and Bio-data.
  • Best practices for crafting an impactful resume.
  • Common mistakes to avoid while preparing a resume.

This session offered students valuable tips to create professional resumes that stand out to potential employers.

As the event progressed, Dr K. P Gopal addressed the students with inspiring words, emphasizing the numerous opportunities and future prospects awaiting them in their careers.

The session concluded with Dr. Betty Sibil and Prof. Vinod Madhavan introducing the Experiential Project to MMS students. They provided a detailed explanation of the project’s objectives, guidelines, and its significance in enhancing practical learning.

The informative session was a resounding success, leaving students motivated and better equipped to tackle their second semester and beyond.
