On the occasion of World Animal Day on 4th October 2023, in an effort to raise awareness about animal welfare and contribute to the welfare of stray dogs, students from PiMSR (Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research) undertook a commendable Animal Feeding Drive in New Panvel and Old Panvel. This feeding drive aimed to alleviate hunger and suffering among the stray dogs in the community. It also served as a platform for engaging with local residents and creating awareness about the importance of providing food and care to animals in need.The focus of this drive was on feeding the stray indie dogs that roam these areas. The Key activities of the animal feeding drive included Collection of donations and food supplies, Establishment of feeding stations at strategic locations, Distribution of food to stray dogs and Hygiene & cleanliness measures at feeding stations. The animal welfare campaign conducted by students of PiMSR was a remarkable effort to promote empathy, awareness, and tangible support for the welfare of animals. Through their initiative, they not only made a positive impact on the lives of stray dogs but also inspired a sense of responsibility towards animals in the hearts of the community. Such initiatives exemplify the power of collective action in creating a more compassionate society. 16 students of MMS conducted the event.
