Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research (PIMSR), in collaboration with the Institute Innovation Council (IIC), celebrated National Startup Day by organizing a seminar aimed at motivating students to explore the world of entrepreneurship.
The event, spearheaded by Prof. Anil Jadwani and Prof. Vinod Madhavan, began with an introduction to the dynamic and ever-evolving startup ecosystem, igniting a sense of curiosity among the students. The seminar took a powerful turn as Dr. K.P. Gopal shared his personal journey of entrepreneurial endeavors, filled with risks, challenges, failures, and triumphs. His candid reflections inspired the students and provided valuable insights into the resilience required to succeed in the world of startups.
Prof. Anil Jadwani and Prof. Vinod Madhavan further mentored the students on how to effectively pitch their business ideas to potential investors, emphasizing the importance of crafting a compelling elevator pitch. They provided practical tips and strategies to help students communicate their ideas with clarity and impact. The seminar culminated in an interactive session where students, under the expert guidance of Prof. Jadwani and Prof. Madhavan, brainstormed and developed their own elevator pitches. The combination of the professors’ mentorship and the students’ creative energy resulted in an array of innovative and inspiring ideas.
