On 15th August, 2024, our nation marked its 77th Independence Day with vibrant and heartfelt celebrations. IIC of Pillai Institute of Management Studies & Research along with other institutions at Pillai Panvel Campus organised Independence Day celebrations at the Quad area of the Campus. The Chief Guest was Prof. Arun Pillai. The day began with a flag hoisting ceremony accompanied by the singing of the national anthem. Students showcased traditional dances and sang patriotic songs reflecting our rich cultural heritage. The Chief Guest spoke about prominent leaders who fought for independence highlighting the country’s progress and honoring the sacrifices of freedom fighters. Additionally, as a community event, school children from the nearby zilla parishad schools were invited to the function. These celebrations reinforced national pride and encouraged all the staff and students to contribute actively to societal development. Overall, the events on Independence Day successfully celebrated our past achievements and fostered a renewed commitment to the values of freedom and democracy. The event was attended by 156 students and 73 staff. Snacks and sweets were distributed after the event.
