Institute Innovation Council’s Regional Meet was hosted by Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology, Rasayani on 6th February, 2024 at Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology campus, Rasayani. The IIC regional meet was conducted under the MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA’s Innovation Cell and All India Council for Technical Education. The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai, Chairman MES, Dr. Priam Pillai, COO, MES, Dr. Jagdish (JW) Bakal, Principal, PHCET. It was a milestone in fostering innovation and developing the entrepreneurial ecosystem, offering invaluable insights and opportunities for attendees, and laying a foundation for future regional initiatives, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability to Schools, Universities and NGOs.
The Institution’s Innovation Council Regional Meet, Rasayani, started with Inauguration of Open House Events at the Main Lawn Ground Floor followed by Felicitation of Guests of Honour and a warm Welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Jagdish W. Bakal, Principal, PHCET and also an address by Guest of Honour (NISM, ARAI, AMPP, Welspun) along with Vote of Thanks and an Inauguration of the Exhibition followed by Media Briefing.
The Inauguration of Regional Meet & Knowledge Sharing unfolded at Auditorium of Management Building. The lighting of lamp by the dignitaries was followed by Felicitation of Chief Guest & Guests of Honour with the Welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Jagdish W. Bakal, Principal, PHCET, Video display of Viksit Bharat @2047 Sankalp Yatra, address by Guest of Honour, Sh. Dipan Sahu, Assistant Innovation Director, MIC, address by Guest of Honour (Sh. Ravindra Kumar Soni, Adviser-II) address by Guest of Honour (Dr. Vinod Mohitkar, Director, DTE), address by Guest of Honour (Prof. Karbhari Vishwanath Kale, VC, BATU, Lonere) followed by Address by Guest of Honour (Sh. Ramanan Ramanathan, Former Mission Director, Atal Innovation Mission), an introduction to the Chief Guest was done by Dr. Nivedita Shreyans, Director PR, MES, followed by Address by the Chief Guest Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman NBA & NAAC. The Release of Souvenir by Chief Guest was launched. The inauguration ceremony ended with the Vote of Thanks followed by National Anthem and Group photograph session.
The primary objective of the IIC Regional Meet was to facilitate the exchange of ideas and practices for integrating innovation within Educational Institutions, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability to Schools, Universities and NGOs.
The attendees aimed to contribute to the collective effort of adapting innovation in their respective institutions to enhance the overall learning experience. The IIC Regional Meet provided a platform for networking and collaboration among educators, professionals and students & leaders. Attendees had the opportunity to explore emerging trends, best practices and success stories related to innovation in Education, Industry and Entrepreneurship management.
Parallel Sessions and Activities were organized and conducted as scheduled.

Orientation Session for Innovators & Early-Stage Start-up Founders& One-to One Mentoring cum Pitching Session by Innovators to Panel Mentors By Evaluators (Industry Experts and Sr. members from Governing members of IIC).
The IIC Regional Meet ended with felicitation of Best Innovators and IIC Posters and valedictory function & Networking High Tea.
The insights gained as well as networking done during the event, and the impactful poster presentation will undoubtedly contribute to the continuous enhancement of innovative practices at MES’s Pillai group of Institution.
It was truly an inspiring and learning IIC regional meet that has effectively facilitated not only knowledge sharing but also reinforced the importance of collaboration between academia and industry. The impressive turnout of over 500 representatives and the innovative project showcased by 50+ teams added significant value to the collaborative spirit of the IIC regional meet organized by Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology, Rasayani.
