A Guest Session on “Supply Chain Management – Current Trends and Future” was organized under CRCP Banner on Friday, 7th October, 2022. The guest speaker for the event was Mr. Vaibhav Rasam (General Manager, Supply Chain – Planning and Customer Service Excellence, L’Oreal).
The session started with basics of Supply chain management, the trends that followed pre covid times, the shift what happened during covid and the latest trends and strategies applied by the companies now. Mr. Rasam also spoke on immense opportunities for the students opting for operations management with examples which helped the students to get a clear picture about the current profiles in demand.
He emphasized on the importance of hard work, perseverance and skills in the industry. He opined that operations as a field would see tremendous growth and also shared a few anecdotes to support his opinion from his experiences.
The session was not only interactive and fruitful but inspiring for the students to explore the exciting world of Operations Management, the lifeblood of all businesses.
