On Thursday, 23rd March 2023 two budding small scale women entrepreneurs from marginalised communities in Karave Village, Seawoods were given financial aid to help build their small businesses of a food stall and a vegetables stall respectively. After a need assessment and interview, two women, Ms. Kalpana Lekru Manjhi and Mrs. Tina were given financial aid of ₹ 10,000/- (Rs. Ten Thousand) each. Innovation Ambassador of PiMSR and Director of IWFCI – India National Chapter Dr. Celina Joy presented the cheques on behalf of IWFCI India National Chapter. This initiative will help these women start and grow their businesses, eventually aiding them in their journey to financial independence. The entrepreneurs will be monitored, mentored and supported for the next one year to help them sustain their businesses.
