Yusuf Meherally Centre deals in various social initiatives such as education, healthcare, women empowerment, rural development, employment generation, environmental protection, re-popularizing the values of the freedom movement, and providing relief during natural calamities. A tour of the place, the place consists of a small-scale oil factory, soap-making factory, pottery workshop, carpentry workshop, Bapu Kuti (replica of Gandhi ji’s last home), Vermicompost factory, and nursery. All these places practiced sustainably, using only natural and organic products and generated income and employment for people from nearby villages.
