Objective of the Event: Celebrating our differences, as well as our common interests, helps unite and educate us.
Cultural fest is an annual cultural event organized by the Student’s Event Committee at Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research. It includes music, dance, skit, mono act, fashion show and drama. These events act like stress relievers and help us balance our emotions. More positivity naturally lowers negativity. Cultural celebrations foster respect and open-mindedness for other cultures. Such events help students to understand other culture’s perspectives and to broaden their ideas.
Cultural diversity is important because our country, workplaces, and schools increasingly consist of various cultural, racial and ethnic groups. When we interact in cross cultural situations, a lack of awareness can lead to bad or poor decisions. Cultural awareness helps us reduce the chances of making bad decisions and increases the chance of us making more insightful, considered decisions. It helps us to fully experience and educate ourselves.

Audience:
Director of the institute, Faculty members, non-teaching staff, supporting staff along with 128 students of second year and 135 students of first year were the audience of the event.
The purpose of the event was to provide a platform to the students to showcase their talent and respect cultural diversity.
