As part of the project “PANKH”, the Social Service Committee volunteers of PIMSR celebrated Children’s Day with great enthusiasm and fervor at Zilla Parishad Gyan Jyoti Savitribai Phule School in Podi. The event commemorated the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, affectionately known as Chacha Nehru for his love and affection towards children.
The celebration began with a session explaining the significance of the day, highlighting Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s invaluable contributions to the nation and his vision for children. Students were then invited to share their knowledge about Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and the essence of Children’s Day. This interactive session saw enthusiastic participation from students of classes 5th, 6th, and 7th.
To make the day memorable, a variety of activities and games were organized. These included a Memory Game, Singing, Word Search, Dancing, and an Essay Writing Competition, where students showcased their creativity and talent. After thorough evaluation, the winners of the competitions were announced and applauded.
As a gesture of encouragement and celebration, gifts and chocolates were distributed to all the students, lighting up their faces with joy and excitement. The event underscored the importance of education, creativity, and the holistic development of children.
