On 1st April, 2023, The Alumni Outreach Committee (AOC) of Pillai Institute of Management Studies & Research organized an ‘Alumni Talk Series’ featuring prominent alumni Dr. Madhu Kaimal and Dr. Preetha Menon. The main objective of the event was to facilitate continued engagement of Alumni with the current students of PIMSR. 50 students attended th event that was held at the Auditorium of the campus
The event began with the address of Mr. Madhu Kaimal. He is an alumnus of batch 2011-12 and is the marketing manager at Cityflo. He spoke about the time spent at Pillai Institute of Management Studies & Research, his academic and professional accomplishments, and his path to becoming the Marketing Manager at Cityflo. He shared knowledge about Digital Marketing and advice on how students can advance their careers in this field. The audience was enriched with useful and valuable thoughts that clarified their career path.
The second half of the event was the session by Dr. Preetha Menon. She is an alumna of batch 1998-2000. She is currently the Associate Professor of Advertising and Branding & Assistant Dean at FLAME University. She addressed the audience and provided insights into the dos and don’ts of being an Intern. The students were enriched with useful and valuable thoughts and guidance as they are about to undergo their Summer Internship in May 2023.
The chief guests were then felicitated by Dr. Balashankar Ramdas. Then the audience was addressed by the core team of AOC 2021-22, Anjali P. V., Joshua Mathew and Prashobh Prabha. They briefed about the committee and announced registrations for AOC 202-23. The event was then concluded with a vote of thanks.
