The Social Service Committee of PiMSR observed World River Day on 24th September, 2024 by conducting a river cleaning drive at the Kalundre/Gaadhi river near the Pillai Campus. A group of 19 students along with Prof. Trupti Barve and Panvel Municipal Corporation workers participated in the initiative. Armed with gloves, masks, and other necessary equipment, volunteers diligently collected waste, debris, and plastic pollution from the river and its banks. The students met Mr. Shailesh Gaikwad, Health Inspector, Panvel Municipal Corporation and handed over a bouquet. At the end of the drive, snacks were distributed to the workers of PMC. The drive was a significant step towards environmental conservation and improving the overall health of the river ecosystem.
