IIC members of PIMSR in association with IIC members of PCACS, PCE and PICA along with Innovation Fest organized a Workshop on the “Process of Innovation Development & Technology Readiness with Focus on Intellectual Property Rights” on 9th February, 2023 at Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus. The workshop was conducted by Dr. B. K. Sarkar, a renowned patent expert with over 1000 patents to his name.
The objective of the workshop was to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of Process of Innovation Development & Technology Readiness with Focus on Intellectual Property Rights, its various types, documentation of ideas and patent protection of an idea.
The workshop began with Dr. Sarkar introducing the process of Innovation Development & Technology Readiness as well as the concept of IPR and the importance of protecting intellectual property. Dr. Sarkar shared his extensive knowledge and experience in the field of IPR and provided a step-by-step guide on documentation and patent protection of an idea.
The workshop was attended and benefited by 46 participants. The participants benefited with the comprehensive understanding of Process of Innovation Development & Technology Readiness with Focus on Intellectual Property Rights and the process of patenting, which equipped them with the necessary knowledge and tools to protect their ideas. The workshop was a testament to Innovation Fest’s commitment to promoting innovation and entrepreneurship and we look forward to organizing similar events in the future.
