IIC members of PIMSR in association with IIC members of PCACS, PCE and PICA along with Innovation Fest organized a motivational workshop on Financial Management on 9th February, 2023 at Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus for young budding entrepreneur students.
The aim of the workshop was to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of financial management and how to manage their finances while starting a business, as well as their personal finances.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Paresh Desai, a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience in the field. Mr. Desai introduced the basics of financial management and the importance of understanding financial statements. He absolved the common finance jargons and made the concepts easy for the students to understand.
Mr. Desai then moved on to discuss how to manage personal finances effectively. He provided practical tips on how to create a budget, track expenses, and save for the future. He also discussed the importance of understanding credit scores and how to build a good credit history along with the topics of financial management while starting a new business and the different sources of financing available for new businesses.
The workshop on Financial Management was attended and benefited by 45 participants. The workshop was a huge success and participants found it highly informative and valuable. Mr. Desai’s extensive knowledge and experience in the field of financial management, coupled with his engaging presentation style made the workshop highly interactive, engaging and impactful.
