The Women’s Development Committee of Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research in association with Soroptimist International Bombay Chembur hosted a Webinar titled “The Genesis of Human Rights Law in India with Special Reference to Women’s Rights” on 6th December, 2021. The webinar was organized to commemorate International Human Rights Day which falls on 10th December, 2021. The speaker for the webinar was Ms. Ayushi Kundu, a young Soroptimist who is an advocate at the Calcutta High Court and also a Soroptimist International President’s Appeal Coordinator. Over 100 enthusiastic participants attended the webinar including SIBC members and students of the management institute.
The webinar helped in sensitizing young minds on the topic of Human Rights and its significance. The project involved conducting a 40 min webinar followed by Q&A round. It was a completely student driven activity.
