As part of Vigilance Awareness Week, Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research (PiMSR), New Panvel, in collaboration with ONGC’s Vigilance Department, organized an elocution and essay writing competition centered on the theme “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity

सत्यनिष्ठा की संस्कृति से राष्ट्र की समृद्धि“.

These events aimed to promote a culture of honesty and integrity among students, aligning with ONGC’s commitment to fostering transparency and ethical practices.

The essay writing competition was held on 18th October, 2024, at PiMSR, with around 120+ students participating. This segment encouraged participants to express their thoughts on integrity through the written word. Essays were evaluated on originality, coherence, depth, and clarity, showcasing creativity and unique perspectives.

On 25th October, 2024 the elocution competition saw around 30 students initially participate, with 11 shortlisted for the final round. Students from MMS and PGDM programs delivered compelling 3-5 minute speeches on the role of integrity in contributing to national prosperity. Judges assessed participants based on content relevance, clarity, presentation, and engagement with the audience. The panel, comprising Prof. Anish Pillai and Dr. Betty Sibil from PiMSR, provided valuable insights and expertise, reinforcing the event’s core theme.

The competitions provided a platform for students to enhance their public speaking and writing skills while reflecting on the importance of integrity as a foundation for both personal and societal growth. We extend our sincere gratitude to ONGC for providing such a platform to our students.
