Uber Rang, the annual fundraiser talent show was held on 27th January, 2018 and had a participation of more than 150 students from various institutions of Mahatma Education Society. This program is the brainchild of Mr. Franav Pillai, Deputy CEO of the Pillai group of institutions with a dual purpose of nurturing talent within the student fraternity as well creating an opportunity for students to raise money for community service. The event was held in association with the Times of India. This talent show is a platform for students to showcase their unique talents to a large audience. The three member jury consisted of Mr. Amit Rai, noted film director of “Road to Sangam”, Ms. Monica Nathiani, Business Head of Times NIE Mumbai Division and Ms. Aishwarya Nair, noted dancer and choreographer and guest faculty at the Anupam Kher Institute of Acting. Spekaling on the occasion, Ms. Nair said that it is very important to foster a spirit of giving among students and help develop their overall personality and Uber Rang gave the students of MES such a wonderful platform.
The event was a huge success as over 150 students showcased their multifaceted talent to a packed audience of over 1000 faculty, parents & students. The performances ranged from skits, singing and dancing to group performances in various forms viz. Indian fusion, western dance, classical performances, folk dances, band music etc. The winners were given trophies and cash prizes. The winners were PCACS college in the college category and MSAS in the school category.
