A Summer Internship Project (SIP) orientation session was held on 8th April, 2025 at Pillai Auditorium, organized by the Pillai’s Research and Development Committee. The purpose of the session was to guide students on the expectations, structure, and conduct during their summer internships.
Dr. Betty Sibil addressed the students on multiple key aspects. She emphasized the importance of professional behavior during the internship and reminded students that they represent the college’s reputation in the corporate world. She also highlighted that students can reach out to three points of contact in case of any concerns or doubts during their internship:
- Faculty Guide
- Placement Cell
- Corporate Guide
She further stated that any complaint from the company regarding a student’s behavior or performance will be taken seriously and could affect their final placement.
Dr. Vivekanand Pawar guided students on how to select a relevant topic for their SIP, either based on their internship tasks or their area of interest aligned with the company. He also explained the standard format of the SIP report, covering essential chapters like the introduction, research methodology, data analysis, and conclusion.
The session was insightful and helped students understand both the academic and professional responsibilities involved in the SIP.
