The Research Monitoring Committee organised a Summer Internship Project Orientation Preparatory Workshop on Monday, 25th April, 2022 at the Auditorium for management students who were preparing to go for summer internships. Dr. Chandran, Prof. Subramaniam Iyer and Dr. Gopal P. were the speakers for the session.
Dr. Chandran spoke about the sanctity of SIP and the various advantages and possibilities that students can gain out of them. He urged students to put their best foot forward and make a good impression on the company guides. Dr. Gopal explained the SIP policy of PiMSR in great detail and asked students to maintain professional conduct throughout. A copy of the SIP policy was distributed to the students for them to return after signatures. Prof. Iyer spoke about using critical thinking skills and being observant besides being disciplined and punctual. He encouraged students to learn on the job and convert the internship opportunities to full time placement. The session was coordinated by RMC members, Dr. Betty Sibil and Dr. Celina Joy.
