Our students had a wonderful opportunity to participate in a Digital Awareness Program organized by the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) on 3rd November 2025 at their BKC Office, Mumbai. The theme for the event was “Digital Hygiene.”
Unlike a competition, this event was organized as an awareness and learning initiative aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of digital responsibility, online safety, and ethics in today’s technology-driven era.
The highlight of the program was a skit performance by our students, which creatively showcased the importance of maintaining digital hygiene in everyday life. The performance depicted real-life scenarios emphasizing responsible online behavior, protection of personal data, and the significance of cybersecurity. It beautifully conveyed how good digital habits are essential to safeguard individuals and organizations in the digital age.
A total of 15 students actively participated in the skit and worked with great enthusiasm and coordination to deliver an impactful and engaging performance. Through the preparation and participation process, students developed essential skills such as teamwork, coordination, research, communication, and creativity.
We had the honour of having Dr. Nivedita Shreyans, Director (PR), Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research, Panvel, grace the ONGC BKC event with her esteemed presence. Her words of motivation inspired students to perform with confidence and passion.
Our faculty members played a crucial role in the event’s success. Their guidance and encouragement helped students think creatively and present their ideas effectively.
The event was successfully coordinated under the guidance of:
- Prof. Mangesh Malusare, Chairperson – Students Activity Committee (SAC)
- Prof. Priyanka Chatta, Member – SAC
- Prof. Akshaya Kolhe, Member – SAC
- Ms. Shipra Lal, Placement Manager
For the event, students travelled to the ONGC BKC Office by bus — a journey filled with enthusiasm, learning, and team spirit. The experience also provided valuable corporate exposure, allowing students to interact with ONGC professionals and understand how organizations promote awareness on vital topics like vigilance and digital ethics.
During the program, the winners of the Debate and Essay Competitions (conducted earlier at the institute) were also felicitated by the ONGC dignitaries, making the occasion even more special and memorable for all participants.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Shipra Lal, Placement Manager, for her continuous support and coordination, and to ONGC for providing this insightful learning opportunity.
The Skit on “Digital Hygiene” was an enriching experience that broadened students’ perspectives on responsible digital practices and reinforced the importance of ethics, awareness, and vigilance in today’s interconnected world.
