PIMSR’s Research and Development Committee (PRDC) organized an online SIP Workshop on the topic “Industry Analysis Frameworks in Management Research” on Monday, 6th May, 2024 for the management students. The purpose of the workshop was to teach the students about the importance of identifying and analysing the environmental factors that have an effect on conduct of any business. The Industry Analysis framework that was covered as a part of this workshop was PESTEL analysis by Prof. Krushna R Sawant. The objective of teaching the PESTEL framework was to help students to write the project report by first understanding the Macro environment that is an integral part of any business.
190 students and faculty members attended the workshop. Prior to the session on PESTEL, PIMSR’s Research and Development Committee members, Dr. Celina Joy and Dr. Betty Sibil conducted a quick recap of the SIP orientation session and explained the expectations from the SIP project. The various parts and chapters of the report was also discussed. Students were advised to constantly keep in touch with their mentors regarding any issues or challenges faced during internship or project writing.
The session ended with the PRDC members thanking Prof. Krushna R Sawant for conducting the session.
