The Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research (PIMSR), through its Social Service Committee under Project PANKH, organized an educational outreach session on Mathematical Problems on 10th February 2026 for the students of 7th Standard at Zilla Parishad Gyan Jyoti Savitribai Phule School, Podi.

The objective of the session was to strengthen the students’ understanding of basic mathematical concepts while creating a supportive, engaging, and interactive learning environment. The session began with a warm introduction by the MBA student volunteers, who established a friendly rapport with the students to encourage active participation. A quiz-based approach was adopted to make the learning process interesting and dynamic. Basic mathematical problems were presented, and students were guided to solve them step by step. Each problem was carefully explained in simple Hindi to ensure conceptual clarity and better comprehension. Interactive questioning techniques were used throughout the session, wherein volunteers asked mathematical terms and numerical problems and students responded enthusiastically. This method not only improved their understanding of fundamental concepts but also enhanced their problem-solving abilities and confidence in attempting questions independently. The active involvement of the students reflected their interest and eagerness to learn, making the session lively and effective.

The activity was successfully conducted by MBA student volunteers Ms. Tanishka Shinde, Ms. Riya Reji, Mr. Ishawar Bade, and Mr. Vedant Janwalek.

The session proved beneficial for the school students by strengthening their mathematical foundation, while also providing valuable experiential learning to the MBA volunteers in communication, community engagement, and social responsibility.
