On 4th and 5th July 2025, the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Pillai Institute of Management Studies & Research (PIMSR) organized a two-day experiential learning program under the theme “Session on Innovation and Decision-Making with AIMA Biz Lab Business Simulation” at the PIMSR Business Lab. The session was facilitated by Dr. Richa Agarwal and witnessed enthusiastic participation from MMS students.
The objective of the program was to provide students with hands-on exposure to business simulations, strengthen their decision-making abilities, and demonstrate the interconnectedness of various functional areas in a corporate setup. Students were divided into markets and teams, where they managed virtual companies across four quarters of simulated business operations. This required them to make strategic decisions in marketing, finance, operations, and human resources, thereby closely replicating real-world business challenges.
The simulation not only sharpened students’ business acumen but also enhanced their teamwork, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. By applying classroom concepts in a practical environment, participants gained valuable insights into innovation-driven corporate decision-making, effectively bridging the gap between theory and practice.
The program concluded with positive feedback from students, who appreciated the IIC initiative for offering an engaging, impactful, and innovation-focused learning experience that prepares them for both corporate and entrepreneurial pathways.
