Under the Project ‘PANKH’, the Social Service Committee of PIMSR conducted a Session on Basic English Reading and Vocabulary for the students of Zilla Parishad Gyan Jyoti Savitribai Phule School, Podi, on 4th November, 2025.
Recognizing the importance of communication skills in academics, the workshop aimed to create a supportive and engaging environment for students to enhance their reading and vocabulary. The session began with student introductions, followed by a reading activity where passages from their English textbook were read aloud and explained in Hindi. This approach helped the 6th standard students understand the lesson’s meaning more effectively, thereby improving their comprehension and reading fluency.
To make learning more interactive, a vocabulary-based game was conducted where students completed spellings by locating the correct words in their textbooks. This activity not only reinforced correct spelling but also strengthened their observation and recall skills.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the session and appreciated its interactive and fun-based learning approach.
The session was successfully conducted by MBA students – Ms. Gayatree Haldavanekar, Ms. Prachi Nirmal, Mr. Sujal Gangan, and MMS student – Mr. Akash Wagh.
