An impactful Cyber Crime Awareness Session was conducted by the Social Service Committee of PiMSR on 18th November 2025 at Zilla Parishad Gyan Jyoti Savitribai Phule School, in collaboration with the NGO CRY. The initiative formed an integral part of the Social Relevance Project undertaken by the second-year MMS students, aimed at educating young learners on essential aspects of online safety and responsible digital behaviour. The objective of this initiative was to educate students of Standards 7 and 8 on the importance of cyber safety and responsible online behaviour. The session aimed to help young learners understand how cybercrimes occur, the risks associated with unsafe digital practices, and the need for early awareness in a technology-driven era.

During the session, students were introduced to different types of cybercrimes such as phishing, online grooming, and gaming addiction. The team explained these concepts in simple and relatable ways to ensure clarity and understanding. Additionally, a set of Do’s and Don’ts for safe internet usage was shared, enabling students to adopt protective measures while navigating the digital world. The interactive nature of the session allowed students to ask questions, share experiences, and actively engage with the content, leading to a deeper understanding of the subject.

The Headmistress and teachers expressed their appreciation for the initiative, noting its positive impact on the students and the relevance of the topic in today’s digital environment. Their encouraging feedback further highlighted the success of the session. Overall, the programme helped students build digital awareness, understand preventive measures against cyber threats, and develop responsible online habits, contributing to their growth as informed and cautious digital citizens.

This impactful session was conducted by S.Y.
