One of the crucial sessions conducted under Project PANKH was centered on the topic of “Safe and Unsafe Touch”. This session, held on 8th September, 2023, played a significant role in creating awareness about sexual harassment with a special emphasis on educating the girl students. The session aimed to equip students with knowledge about how to recognize and respond to sexual harassment, ultimately ensuring their safety and well-being. The session was conducted by Prof. Krushna R. Sawant and Dr. Celina Joy. The workshop adopted an interactive and engaging approach, encouraging active participation from the students. This approach helped in fostering a more comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.

The session covered vital aspects, including:

  1. Raising awareness about the various forms of sexual harassment.
  2. Identifying signs of unsafe behavior.
  3. Equipping students with strategies to keep themselves safe from sexual harassment and abuse.
