The Social Service Committee of PiMSR conducted the event at Attrium on 4th October, 2023 called “Meri Matti Mera Desh Abhiyaan” as a culminating event of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
The aim of the abhiyaan was to pay tribute to the Veers and Veeranganas to honor and felicitate the different armed forces and freedom fighters who protect the nation and different families in India, who have made the supreme sacrifice for the country, whereby the PiMSR students and faculty paid homage to these great martyrs by putting the soil in the kalash thus reflectings a sense of patriotism and love for one’s homeland and its resources.
Since “Mera Mati Mera Desh” fosters community building capturing a sense of pride in all the pillars of our country and also represents unity in diversity, that was very well exhibited during the unfolding of the abhiyan in PiMSR campus symbolizing the commitment of “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat by the students and the faculty respectively.
“Meri Matti Mera Desh Abhiyaan” was successfully celebrated by MMS 2nd year students and faculty showcasing that “Meri Mati Mera Desh” is not just a phrase but an emotion and declaration of the love of the nation that connects to the various roots and history of its rich culture and heritage.
