Extension Activity Report – Mathematics and English Session under Project PANKH

The Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research through its Social Service Committee organized a Mathematics and English session on 17th February 2026 for the students of 7th Standard at Zilla Parishad Gyan Jyoti Savitribai Phule School under Project PANKH. The initiative aimed to strengthen students’ basic concepts and make learning interactive and enjoyable.

The session began with an English reading activity where students read a paragraph one by one to improve pronunciation, fluency, and confidence. Guidance was provided wherever required to correct reading and enhance understanding. The Mathematics session followed, where students solved textbook sums independently. Step-by-step explanations were given to ensure conceptual clarity, and a simple multiplication technique was taught to help them solve problems more efficiently.

The session was interactive and witnessed active participation from the students. The key takeaway was the importance of strengthening foundational skills through patient guidance and activity-based learning. The initiative reaffirmed that even small educational interventions can create meaningful and lasting improvements in students’ learning outcomes. The program was conducted by MBA students Ms. Swarali Phadnis, Ms. Shruti Andhale, Mr. Pranay Kurup, and Mr. Bhushan Bageshwar.
