Women Development Cell of Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research and Pillai College of Arts Commerce and Science in association with International Federation of Commerce and Industry (IWFCI) India National Chapter organized an International Webinar on “Empowering Women Entrepreneurship through Education” on 8th September, 2020 to commemorate International Literacy Day. The keynote speakers for the event were Ms. Heera S. K. Vasandani, Chief Executive Officer, Bursa Sajadah, one of the biggest one stop retail stores in Indonesia and Ms. Namrata Jage, Founder & CEO at Sahaayy, a platform committed to support women to use various digital solutions and create a positive & supportive ecosystem where women entrepreneurs can grow and succeed sustainably. The event endeavoured to develop entrepreneurial mindset among women to set up their own enterprises. The event focused on the required skills and competencies of business among prospective and active women entrepreneurs. The event was well received and appreciated by over 5000 viewers. Dr. Daphne Pillai, Secretary MES and Director IWFCI-India National Chapter delivered the welcome address. Dr. Celina Joy, Committee Member, WDC and Director, IWFCI, India National Chapter proposed the Vote of Thanks.
