A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Research Visibility” was conducted on 9th July 2026 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the faculty members of the PG School of Business. The session was attended by 18 faculty members and was conducted by Dr. Shikha Singh, with technical support from Ms. Tejeswani K., who assisted with her expertise in research databases.

The session began with an overview of the Research and Development Committee (RDC), highlighting its objectives, functions, and initiatives to strengthen the research culture within the institution. Dr. Shikha Singh also explained the concept of research visibility, emphasizing the importance of maintaining researcher profiles on various academic platforms to enhance the reach, credibility, and impact of scholarly work.

The session included a discussion on predatory journals, helping faculty members understand how to identify and avoid unethical publishing practices. A hands-on practical session was conducted in which participants were guided through the process of creating and updating their researcher profiles on relevant academic databases. Faculty members were encouraged to create the required research IDs and share them with the RDC for institutional records and future research initiatives.

The programme was highly informative and practical, enabling faculty members to strengthen their research presence, improve the visibility of their scholarly contributions, and adopt ethical publishing practices.
