The Research and Development Committee at PIMSR organized an insightful session on Communication Mastery for Academic Excellence. The session opened with a lively ice-breaking activity, where faculty identified their individual communication styles and reflected on their strengths and areas of improvement. The importance of effective communication—both verbal and non-verbal—was highlighted, with a particular focus on:
- Different communication styles and their impact in the classroom
- Role of digital platforms, particularly WhatsApp, in academic communication
- The experiential learning aspect of communication through discussions and activities
A management game further illustrated the value of clear, concise, and collaborative communication in achieving desired outcomes. Faculty also explored best practices for presenting their ideas persuasively in academic and research contexts. Participants became more self-aware of their communication styles and acquired strategies to enhance clarity, engagement, and effectiveness in their professional interactions.
