The vibrant conclusion of Project Pankh 2024-25, a year-long educational endeavour by PIMSR and Soroptimist Bombay International at Zilla Parishad Gyan Jyothi Savitribai Phule School in Podi, unfolded on a sunny 5th March, 2025. The schoolyard buzzed with a palpable sense of accomplishment, as students, their faces alight with anticipation, gathered for the concluding event.
The atmosphere was warm and celebratory, beginning with a heartfelt welcome speech that set the stage for reflections on the year’s progress. Students, once hesitant, now confidently shared their positive experiences, their voices filled with newfound understanding of Mathematics and English.
Their teacher, beaming with pride, echoed their sentiments, highlighting the tangible improvements in their academic engagement. Dr. Celina Joy, with her characteristic warmth, delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the transformative power of community support.
Subsequently, Prof. Krushna R. Sawant eloquently articulated the collaborative spirit that fuelled the project’s success. The culmination of the event was the joyous distribution of colourful gifts, a tangible symbol of recognition for the students’ hard work and dedication, leaving behind a lasting impression of empowerment and encouragement.
