An Awareness Campaign on Animal Protection and Conservation was organised for the students of Class 1 to 4 of the Zilla Parishad Gyan Jyoti Savitribai Phule School at Podi on the occasion of World Animal Day on 4th October, 2023. This was conducted as a part of the series of workshops under Project PANKH for the holistic overall development of the school students. The primary objective of this workshop was to create awareness on animal welfare as an important aspect of the environment and to avoid cruelty to animals. The students made posters and banners and interacted with the children of the school during their assembly time. The MMS students explained the theme for World Animal Day 2023, “Great or Small, Love Them All,” which emphasizes the importance of acknowledging animals as living beings that need love and not cruelty.The workshop was conducted by 1st and 2nd-year MMS students and coordinated by Prof. Gursharan Kaur Nanda. 76 students attended the session. 16 students of MMS conducted the event.
