The Alumni Meet of MMS students “Memories 2017” was held on the 9th May, 2017 at the auditorium, Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus, New Panvel. The theme of the meet was “Let us get together to reminisce about old times and talk about the future”.
The response for the meeting was overwhelming. The remarkable feature of this meet was, representation from every batch, right from 1998, the year in which the first batch of MMS was commenced.
The meeting started with the traditional lighting of sacred lamp. The Director PiMSR, Registrar and the senior alumni participated in the ritual.
Prof. C. K. Sreedharan welcomed the alumni and presented the theme of the meeting. He recollected his experience of teaching various management related subjects to various batches. He also emphasized on the major role that could be played by the alumni in promoting the MMS programme.
Dr. Satish Nair, Director, PiMSR delivered the keynote address. He recapitulated the progress made by the institute in the last few years. He also talked about how alumni could proactively network with the institute for mutual benefit.
Few of the alumni spoke about how the MMS programme had given them excellent job opportunities, career advancements, enhanced status and respect in the society. They thanked PiMSR for their success.
The junior students entertained their seniors with classical dance and song programmes. There was also a game of “Housie’. Everyone enjoyed these programmes. There was a group photograph session followed by a sumptuous dinner.
