The Future Skills Ready Lab was successfully organized on 22nd January 2026 at the Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research as an initiative led by Prof.Anil Jadwani , Prof. Vinod Madhavan , and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) members. The workshop witnessed active participation from MBA and PGDM students, with a total of 280 students attending the event.

The program was designed in response to the increasing gap between academic learning and industry expectations, a concern frequently highlighted by corporate stakeholders who observe that graduates often lack problem-solving abilities, industry readiness, professional discipline, and adaptability to real-world business environments. The session emphasized the institute’s belief in transformation by preparing students to face the challenges of a rapidly evolving and highly competitive professional landscape.

The workshop focused on developing the right attitude, adopting a practical approach, and strengthening implementation skills through interactive discussions and reflective learning. Key areas addressed during the session included entrepreneurial mindset and leadership, creativity and innovation, problem-solving capabilities, communication skills, presentation techniques, and teamwork, all of which are critical for achieving all-round excellence. Faculty members acted as facilitators, guiding students to reflect on existing skill gaps and encouraging them to apply new perspectives to academic and professional contexts.

The workshop provided students with valuable insights into industry expectations while enhancing their confidence, analytical thinking, collaborative abilities, and readiness to transition effectively from campus to corporate life, thereby reinforcing the institute’s commitment to innovation-driven and skill-oriented education.
