Under Project PANKH, the Social Service Committee of PIMSR conducted an educational outreach session on Hindi Reading and English Vocabulary, along with basic English grammar and Mathematics, for the students of Zilla Parishad Gyan Jyoti Savitribai Phule School, Podi, on 13th January 2026. The session was organized with the objective of strengthening students’ foundational language and numeracy skills, which are essential for their overall academic development.
The session began with student introductions to create a comfortable and interactive learning environment. This was followed by English reading practice from the students’ prescribed textbooks. The reading activity was conducted aloud, and the content was explained in simple and understandable language. This approach helped 6th standard students improve their reading fluency, pronunciation, and comprehension, while also encouraging confidence in reading English texts.
In continuation, the session focused on basic English grammar concepts, with particular emphasis on nouns and their types. Grammar exercises were conducted to help 7th standard students understand sentence structure and usage. Through guided practice, students were encouraged to form correct sentences, which contributed to the development of their writing and language application skills.
The Mathematics component of the session covered the topic of triangles. Students were introduced to different types of triangles, namely equilateral, isosceles, and scalene triangles. Simple numerical problems based on the sides and angles of triangles were solved during the session. This activity helped students understand the properties of each type of triangle and enhanced their analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Throughout the session, students actively participated and responded positively to the interactive teaching methods adopted by the facilitators. The learners showed enthusiasm and interest while engaging in reading, grammar, and mathematics activities. The supportive learning environment encouraged students to ask questions and participate without hesitation.
Overall, the session was informative, engaging, and effective in improving students’ English reading skills, basic English grammar knowledge, and mathematical understanding. The initiative contributed meaningfully to the academic development of the students and reflected PIMSR’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility through Project PANKH.
The session was conducted by MBA students of PIMSR, namely Ms. Harshada Hulawale, Ms. Prachi Nirmal, Mr. Pranay Kurup, and Mr. Niraj Patil.
