The HR Club of Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research (PiMSR) successfully organized HR Jamboree 2025 on Thursday, 25th September 2025, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Krushna R. Sawant. Themed “Competing, Collaborating, Creating Tomorrow’s HR Leaders,” the event was designed as an engaging platform for students to experience HR concepts beyond the classroom through competitive and interactive activities. Entirely student-driven, the event was conducted by the senior batch for the benefit of first-year MBA and PGDM students, promoting leadership, creativity, and collaboration.

HR Jamboree 2025 began with a preliminary round – an HR Quiz conducted in advance of the main event. This quiz tested the students’ understanding of basic HR concepts and served as a warm-up to the more dynamic activities that followed. On the day of the event, students gathered in the PiMSR Auditorium with enthusiasm and anticipation. The formal proceedings began at 2:00 p.m. with a welcome address by Mr. Avish Billawa, setting an energetic tone for the day.

The second round of the event was the Squid Game Challenge, which infused the auditorium with energy and excitement. About 20–30 students participated in this creative team-based activity, which involved eliminations and strategic gameplay. The challenge concluded with two final teams of five members each, who qualified for the final round. While the Squid Game Challenge was underway, the HR Club team ensured the rest of the audience remained actively engaged through management-themed games and interactive exercises.

The highlight of HR Jamboree 2025 was the final round – a thought-provoking debate on the topic: “Is job-hopping effective for career growth, or is consistent upskilling more important?” The debate was moderated by Prof. Vinod Madhavan, with a distinguished panel of judges comprising Prof. Priyanka Chatta, Prof. Vijay Karvande, Prof. Dr. Vivekananda Pawar and Prof. Nandkishore Samant. Participants presented well-researched opening statements, responded with sharp rebuttals, and concluded with impactful closing remarks. An engaging Q&A session followed, involving both the judges and the audience. Throughout the debate, the audience remained immersed, taking part in activities such as logo guessing, situation-based questions, and HR tongue twisters.

After careful evaluation, the panel of judges declared the winners of the debate. The winning team received a cash prize along with certificates of appreciation, while the runner-up team was also recognized with a cash prize and certificates. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms. Siddhi Vijay, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organizing team, participants, faculty panelists, and all contributors who made the event a success. The event concluded with motivational words from Prof. Dr. Krushna R. Sawant, who emphasized the importance of such initiatives in building leadership, communication, and decision-making skills among budding HR professionals.

HR Jamboree 2025 proved to be a resounding success, creating a vibrant and intellectually stimulating environment where students could learn by doing. It fostered a strong sense of camaraderie between juniors and seniors while encouraging practical understanding of human resource management. By blending academic rigor with creative execution, the HR Club reinforced its commitment to nurturing future-ready HR leaders through innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
