The IIC of PiMSR organised an Field Exposure Visit to the Incubation Unit at PCIE, Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus for the science students of Mahatma School of Academics and Sports on 13th August, 2024 from 8.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The objective of the session was to expose the students to the facilities available at the Incubation centre for entrepreneurship opportunities.
The session began with a welcome by IIC member Dr. Celina Joy followed by a campus tour. About 281 students attended the session. Demonstrations of the available infrastructure, component libraries, maker labs, classrooms, robotics labs and computer labs were shown to them. After the demonstration, a powerpoint presentation was made at the Auditorium about the various facilities, mentorship and accessibility to the centre. Snacks were distributed at the end of the season. 3 faculty from PiMSR and 11 external faculty and 23 students were engaged in this outreach program. The students benefited greatly from this session as this gave them an exposure on incubating the startups at this centre.
