Mahatama Education Society’s Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research, New Panvel observed the “Vigilance Awareness Week” this year from 26th October to 1st November 2021, in association with the premier oil sector PSU, ONGC. Various events were organised under the guidance of Dr. R. Chandran and Dr. Nivedita Shreyans was coordinated by Dr. Anjali Bhute through the Corporate Relations Committee to commemorate the week. Some of the activities include Essay writing and Debate competition. All activities were based on the theme of ‘Independent India @ 75: Self Reliance with Integrity’ with the aim of spreading awareness amongst the youth.

The event witnessed dignitaries Mr. M. K. Gupta, Head Vigilance, ONGC Mumbai, Mr. S. V. Jain, Head Infocom, ONGC Mumbai, Mr. D. K. Das, General Manager Vigilance, ONGC Mumbai, Dr Nivedita Shreyans, Director- PR, Pillai Group of Institutions and Dr. R. Chandran, Executive Director, Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research were present to grace the occasion and felicitate the winners of the competitions. The event was a great success with students putting forward some really interesting points regarding corruption and the need of its awareness in the society. Dr. Shaheda Sheikh and Prof. Mamta Nair were the judges and declared the final winners of the Essay and Debate competition.

  2. Paulomi Laha – 2nd Prize
  3. Ashish Kumar Yadav – 3rd Prize

Debate Competition:

  1. Akash Jishnu – 1st Prize
  2. Laxmi Jaiswal – 2nd Prize
  3. Siddhesh Gandal – 3rd Prize
